Recent thank you letter to I Short Sale, Inc. in conclusion of a challenging Short-Refi

To: I Short Sale Inc.

My name is XXXX and I wish to tell you about Michael.  2008 was a very hard year for my family.  My wife’s mother had passed away very suddenly and because she had been out of work for so long, no one in the family had the money to pay for the funeral expenses, so the amount came out of our credit cards, unfortunately sending the amounts on them higher than we had ever had them.  I also had hours cut from a second job I was working as well as overtime cut from my main job.    I had submitted a proposal for a loan modification through I-Short Sale in March of 2008 due to financial hardships, a drop in the value of my house compared to the amount of the loan, and that the loan was an ARM that was going to mature the next year.  After approximately 6 months, I was denied a modification and left with a house payment that was beginning to go over my head. 

Approximately one month later I received a call from Michael.  Michael stated he had received my file and believed that he could assist us with a modification.  After I described my financial hardships to him, Michael told me of a type of modification that I had not even heard of and I really thought it was a joke at first.  It had to be because if this were real, we could not only keep the house, but it would now have a loan much closer to the actual value of the house.  Michael explained how the modification that could only be described as a short-refi, worked and assisted us with every step of the modification process. 

Michael then said it had just become a mission because he wanted to see this to the close. Michael also was very persistent with contacting Homecomings, which proved to be almost essential because it was nearly impossible to contact anyone at that company about the modification.  Michael’s persistence has always paid off and every time we thought that all was lost and we would loose the house, he has either reassured us that all was not lost and pulled a rabbit out of a hat to keep the process alive.  This was always done to the same degree if he was working to be paid or even if he just wanted to see the modification through.  It always seemed that Michael had our interests at his forefront no matter when we called him wanting it to be all over one way or another.

After over a year attempting to make this modification, because of Michael, it came true.  I can honestly say that the only reason we will still be in this house is because of Michael’s Herculean efforts and his relentlessness with Homecomings on our behalf to make sure this modification happened.  I truly believe that Michael’s work ethic to see this modification through to the end is why I can say we are able to stay in this house.  Because of his efforts, the amount of our loan was reduced by $200,000.00 and our monthly payments went from $3,500.00 per month to $1,318.40.  If I was ever to have someone on my side to fight the mortgage company giants, I would want Michael on my side and no one else.  The full credit for making this short-refi happen must go to Michael on this because his effort is why my family still has our house.

I wish to thank Michael for everything he has done on this and can truly say that anyone that needs assistance with their loan I would recommend Michael without any hesitation.  Thank you Michael for all of your hard work!.
